There's no vaccine to prevent the new bird flu strain and now research shows even antiviral medications may be less effective in some cases. Tamiflu has been the best treatment option for H7N9, the newest strain of bird flu to hit China. But now research shows evidence the virus is developing resistance to some antivirals like Tamiflu. Doctors strongly recommended early treatment with these antiviral drugs in suspected or confirmed cases of bird flu. For Daily RX TV, I'm Jennifer Dodd.
